This CPD certificate programme is composed of two modules of 10 credits each.
- Module 1: Coaching and mentoring for professional development of head teachers and teachers
- Module 2: Leading and managing for professional development of head teachers and teachers
The two modules are complementary. Apart from many links between the two, there are also three crosscutting themes: gender, improving learning outcomes, and monitoring and evaluation. This CPD certificate programme aims to provide the participants with more in-depth information on topics such as professional development of (head) teachers, coaching, mentoring and induction of new teachers.
1. Module 1: Coaching and mentoring for professional development of headteachers and teachers
This CPD Certificate course in Educational Mentorship and Coaching Module 1 - 5th edition, is about coaching and mentoring for professional development of headteachers and teachers. This module is divided into three units namely: professional development of head teachers and teachers; coaching and mentoring in education; and Communities of practice for head teachers and teachers.
2. Module 2: Leading and Managing for Continuous Professional Development of Head Teachers and Teachers
This module 2 focuses on Leading and Managing Professional Development for Head teachers and Teachers. It is part of the Continuous Professional Development Certificate in Educational Mentorship and Coaching Programme. There are four units in this module namely:
1) Leading and managing head teachers and teachers for their professional development;
2) Leading and managing gender-responsive and inclusive professional development activities;
3) Leadership and management in education;
4) Identifying school improvement needs, setting goals and measuring results.
